FL-ALAS is deeply committed to empowering students and families by strengthening access, awareness, and opportunity. We recognize that meaningful parent and student support is essential to student success and long-term achievement.
Through our work, we champion high academic expectations and access to rigorous learning for all students. We are dedicated to expanding opportunities and improving outcomes for all students with a particular emphasis on Hispanic/Latino youth and other historically underrepresented communities.
To advance this mission, FL-ALAS develops and supports programs, partnerships, and initiatives that foster student achievement and family engagement. We create pathways for students and parents to become informed, confident, and active participants in navigating K–12 and postsecondary educational opportunities.
La Universidad
¡Sí Se Puede!
FL-ALAS proudly sponsors La Universidad ¡Sí Se Puede!, a signature initiative designed to equip and empower Hispanic/Latino families with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to support college and career readiness.
With a strong focus on postsecondary success, the program offers engaging symposiums and informational events that guide students and families through critical milestones, from high school graduation to college transition and beyond. Topics include academic planning, financial aid and scholarship opportunities, navigating the college application process, and strengthening family support systems.
Grounded in a commitment to access and opportunity, La Universidad ¡Sí Se Puede! helps families navigate educational pathways, overcome barriers, and make informed decisions that open doors to future success.
